Curris Business Building
The Curris Business Building (CBB), completed in 1990 at a cost of $10.8 million, is the home for the College of Business Administration (CBA). This highly-functional, modern facility includes a large lecture auditorium, three computer laboratory/classrooms, and 15 seminar or lecture classrooms. Functional options, flexibility in space usage, and current technology, including wireless internet access, readily available to both staff and students combine to make the Curris Business Building a state-of-the-art facility and a comfortable place to learn.

Classrooms
All classrooms have full multi-media capabilities. A Windows-based computer with network access to campus software and to the Internet, a VCR/DVD player and an Elmo presenter are all connected to a ceiling-mounted LCD projection unit with built-in audio. Microsoft PowerPoint software and the availability of remote controls for projection, sound and mouse add excitement to presentations and allow interactive instruction. In addition to these state-of-the-art classroom facilities, the Curris Building also has several conference rooms. All CBA adminstrative and student-support offices as well as virtually all faculty offices are conveniently located in the Curris Business Building.
ICN
One of the classrooms in the Curris building is a fully functioning site on the Iowa Communications Network. ICN, a backbone of fiber-optic technology administered by the State of Iowa, allows videoconferencing and remote learning. All ICN sites throughout the state are accessible from the CBA site, permitting shared classes with other institutions.

Technology
The Blanford Computer Lab (CBB 236) is open and monitored about 80 hours a week. An additional computer classroom (CBB 224) is also available for student lab use during the day when it is not being used for instruction. For more information about specific information technology resources, see Technology Resources page.
Lounge Space
Many large and small lounge spaces, equipped with tables, chairs, or couches, allow students to study, wait for their next class, or simply "hang out" with fellow students and faculty. Some lounge areas are equipped with terminals allowing students to check their email, register for classes via online registration, and "surf" the web. Students who have their own computing equipment can take advantage of wireless access in most lounge and study areas in the building.
Food
Commodities, the first floor food bar, offers a reasonably priced menu including soup, sandwiches, beverages, cookies and fruit. Open Monday through Friday: 11:30 - 1:15 and Monday through Thursday: 5:15 - 7:30.
