9th International Conference on Decision Support Systems
January 2-4, 2007, Kolkata, India
Organized by the Association for Information Systems - SIGDSS
International Society for Decision Support Systems

Paper Submission Procedures                (Download Call for Papers)

There are three categories of submissions: (1) papers for the conference volume (2) papers for presentation and (3) proposals for panel sessions.

PAPERS FOR THE CONFERENCE VOLUME

Plans are being finalized to publish a volume of peer-reviewed papers from this meeting in the Integrated Series in Information Systems (Springer). A paper submitted for the conference volume must describe original work that has not been published previously and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere. A paper for the conference volume is limited to 6,000 words, will be refereed, and should be submitted as a PDF file by email to info@icdss2007.org. A paper accepted for the conference volume must be presented at the conference. Please note that the submission deadline for these papers is May 10, 2006. Download Book Chapter template and Copyright Release form.

PAPERS FOR PRESENTATION

A working paper may also be submitted only for presentation at the conference. An abstract or working paper should be submitted by email to info@icdss2007.org. The names of all authors and affiliations should be provided, with the presenting author listed first. A paper accepted for presentation will have the paper/abstract printed in the conference proceedings on the web. Please note that the submission deadline for these papers is September 18, 2006.

PROPOSALS FOR PANEL SESSIONS

We solicit proposals for panel sessions related to the conference topics about which there are differing viewpoints and thus a need for public discussion. Panel proposals should specify:
1. Name and affiliation of the panel moderator (usually the proposer)
2. Abstract - Questions/issues the panel will discuss (approx. 100 words)
3. A list of at least three committed panelists and their affiliations
4. Position statements from each panelist (approx. 100 words each)

We strongly encourage panels that have a mixture of academic, industry, and government panelists. We expect that a range of viewpoints will be represented in the panel session. The role of the panel moderator is to state the initial relevant issues and moderate the panel session. Each panelist will then make a short presentation of his/her position. The moderator will then direct a discussion/debate among the panelists and encourage audience interaction.

Important Dates:
Proposals should be submitted as a WORD file by email to info@icdss2007.org by September 18th, 2006.
Acceptance decisions will be communicated by October 2, 2006.
All panel participants (moderator and the panelists) will have to register for the conference by November 1, 2006, for the panel to be included in the conference program.
