Fellow Lion's. last week we had the honor of inducting a new member   into our club, Steve Lindaman. With Steve's permission I have   included a little information so we all can get to know Steve better.

Steve and his wife Jane have a son, Ryan who is 10 months old and they live at 1710 Carlton Dr. Cedar Falls.  Steve works at Farmers State Bank as a Business Development Officer and received his Finance and MBA degrees from UNI.  He enjoys playing volleyball, woodworking and any sports on TV.  He follows the Denver Broncos, Iowa Hawkeyes and the UNI Panthers of course!  Steve believes in community service and is looking forward to making and eating Lion pancakes!  So lets welcome Steve to our club and remember that Jan. 21st will be our member guest luncheon.  Oh one more thing Steve's work number is 268-1879.

LAST MEETING (December 3rd)

John Luziach, from the Oster Regent Theater, will spoke to the club about their next play, “Inspecting Carol”. The show (the third in the four play season) is a hilarious and timely show business farce about a small professional theater group who is in jeopardy of losing their $30,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). To monitor the group, the NEA sends an inspector to view their next play. The group can only afford to pay the actors for four days of rehearsal, instead of four week. But, not a problem, the group is producing the same play they always do at Christmas – A Christmas Carol. They are using most of the same actors they always use year after year (including the same big kid that’s been playing Tiny Tim for way to many years). This is the 14th season that the Community Play has utilized the Oster Theater. During this time, the Cedar Falls Community Theater has seen their annual budget grow from $130,000 to $280,000. The Theater continues to try and attract a variety of talent and shows for the community to enjoy.
