Season. It has been a good year for our
club, we have a great community and I think our Lion's Club has done a good job
of making it a little better. We will be

Mayor Jon Crews spoke to
the Club about numerous projects that the City of
▪ The Christmas season begins at sundown on 24th December and
lasts through sundown on 5th January. For that reason, this season is also
known as the Twelve Days of Christmas.
▪ The tradition of Christmas lights dates back to when
Christians were persecuted for saying Mass. A simple candle in the window meant
that Mass would be celebrated there that night.
▪ Theodore Roosevelt, a staunch conservationist, banned
Christmas trees in his home, even when he lived in the White House. His
children, however, smuggled them into their bedrooms.
