The UNI Center for Economic Education is pleased to announce the 2009
National Economics Challenge Competition that is designed for high school students to test their
knowledge of economics and consumer economics in a competitive and fun
atmosphere.
The Challenge actually consists of four stages: The Iowa EconChallenge ONLINE!, the Iowa Economics Challenge State Finals, the Regional Economics Challenge, and the National Economics Challenge Competition.
- The Iowa EconChallenge Online! is first and is completed by students online.
- Next, the top five teams in each division from the Iowa EconChallenge Online! are invited to Cedar Falls to compete in the Iowa Economics Challenge State Finals
- The top team in each division (Adam Smith and David Ricardo divisions) goes to the Regional Economics Challenge (location TBA)
- Winners of the Regional Economics Challenge then compete in the National Economics Challenge Competition in New York.
