The Iowa Economics Challenge competition combines individual and team performance mixed in with some FUN!.  A school may enter multiple teams in each division for the state competition. 

Any team containing one or more students enrolled in a course listed below in the Adam Smith Division must compete in the Adam Smith Division.

REGISTRATION FORMS:

Registration forms MUST be completed and returned to the UNI Center for Economic Education PRIOR to participation in the preliminary round of the competition. Check back in the fall for the 2009 registration materials.

ELIGIBILITY:

There are two divisions in the Iowa Economics Challenge

(1) The Adam Smith Division which is open to students enrolled in (or completed) Advanced Placement Economics (Macro or Micro), honors economics,  a two semester high school economics, or any other advanced economics courses* during the 2006-07 academic year. 

(2)The David Ricardo Division is for students enrolled in (or completed) a one semester high school economics course, consumer economics, personal finance course, or related disciplines such as social studies, business, or family and consumer sciences during the 2006-07 academic year.

*Students who have taken or are taking economics or economics related courses for college credit from a post-secondary instructor are not eligible to compete.
