• April 3-4, 2008: Iowa Association for Alternative Education (IAAE) The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines.
• April 3-4, 2008: Iowa Reading Association at the Polk County Convention Center, Des Moines.
• April 11, 2008: The Principles Courses: Contents, Standards, and Evaluation sponsored by the University of Northern Iowa's Department of Economics, in Cedar Falls
