Minors and Certificate Programs

You can gain credibility in the global marketplace with an International Business minor (available to Business majors and non-majors) or a certificate in International Business, Culture, and Language.
Earn status as a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional with trade knowledge related to Global Marketing, Global Management, Trade Finance, and Supply Chain & Logistics. Click here to learn more about these programs.

Semester Study Abroad

UNIBusiness majors can greatly enhance their knowledge base and contemporary professional skill set by spending several months abroad. Moderate language skills are helpful but not required. Plan the experience early in your academic career to best manage courses for graduation requirements. Click here to learn more about semester long study abroad opportunities.

Short-Term Study Abroad

Traveling with a professor and other UNI students provides a way to gain meaningful experience in a different culture, even if your second language skills are minimal or your life responsibilities prevent semester-long absences. Short-Term Study Abroad courses typically focus on a specific country and area of study.

Internship Opportunities

Get experience working in a totally different culture and business environment through UNIBusiness International internship opportunities in China, Europe, Mexico and Nicaragua.

Financial Aid

Study Abroad offices in Gilchrist 28 and the Curris Business Building can help you pursue financial support for international experiences. Seek information early to best take advantage of programs that may assist you in gaining international experience.

Competitions

International competitions like NIBS Case Competition and Global Logistics Competition focus on business decisions in the global economy and provide opportunities to travel, work on diverse teams, and meet participants with different backgrounds.

International Club of Business Students (ICBS)

U.S. and International student members take field trips and interact with professionals in international operations or trade education, while ICBS’ Global Associates networking events allow for relaxed, social interaction.
