Professor Bauman is the faculty advisor for the UNI Accounting Club.
Professional Accomplishments
Professor Bauman is an editorial board member of Accounting Horizons and ATA Journal of Legal Tax Research. Her publications are included in the Journal of the American Taxation Association, ATA Journal of Legal Tax Research, Advances in Taxation, Advances in Accounting Education, The CPA Journal, IRS Research Bulletin and others. Professor Bauman was a 2008 Veridian Credit Union Community Engagement Award recipient and a 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers INQuires research grant recipient. She was also the recipient of the 2003 Award for Teaching Excellence, UWM Alumni Association and 2002 Deloitte/American Taxation Association Teaching Innovation Award. Professor Bauman was a former Faculty Director of IRS-sponsored low income taxpayer clinic, a former tax manager at Price Waterhouse, and is a member of the American Taxation Association, American Accounting Association, and American Institute of CPAs including the Precertification Education Executive Committee. She was a former trustee of the American Taxation Association.
