Professional Accomplishments
In addition to his part-time teaching at UNI, Mr. Boege is employed by John Deere & Company as a quality improvement engineer. In that role he uses statistical and mathematical techniques to improve product quality. In the last two years he has been involved in improving processes which have led to an annual cost reduction of $1.4 million. He also designed and implemented a new electronic testing tool which has reduced "no fault found" factory rejects by 50%. His work experience brings a professional, applied perspective to the courses that he teaches.
