Professional Accomplishments
Ron Abraham maintains the active life of a professional CPA. For over thirty years, he has worked with numerous clients throughout the Cedar Valley in the areas of auditing, tax preparation, and accounting information systems. He brings this professional experience into the classroom and makes his students as much the beneficiaries of his work as his clients. He has earned numerous teaching awards, including: 1999 Students' Choice Outstanding Teaching Award, 1996 CBA Outstanding Teaching Award, 1995 CBA Innovations in Teaching Award, 1993 CBA Outstanding Teaching Award, and 1988 CBA Outstanding Teaching Award. In addition, in 2005 he was awarded the Halverson Professorship in Accounting Education for his many years of contribution to the outstanding success of UNI students on the CPA exam. Professor Abraham has been a member of the UNI Accounting faculty since 1974.
