Professional Accomplishments
Dennis Clayson specializes in measurement, psychometrics, potlatch and consumption research. He has published over thirty papers in refereed journals in marketing management, psychological, sociological and medical journals including the Lancet, Journal of Midwest Marketing, Journal of Marketing Education, Academy of Management, and Marketing News, to name a few. Professor Clayson also has an close to forty papers published in refereed conference proceedings. In 2009, Clayson was awarded the Faculty Research Award in recognition of his research contributions.
Clayson is also an active reviewer for Marketing Management Journal and Journal of Marketing Education and frequently reviews for conferences sponsored by the American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science, and the Marketing Educations Association.
In addition to his academic work, Professor Clayson has consulted with both local and national firms including the Mayo Clinic, John Deere, and the Procter & Gamble Company and writes for a local news media.
International Experience
Professor Clayson has taught in special programs in both Hong Kong and Austria.
