Responsibilities
Linda Corbin coordinates the CBA undergraduate programs and manages the College’s Student Advising Center operations. She administers the CBA Admission requirements and serves as the CBA liaison for community colleges and other offices on campus. Linda provides a critical resource to all business students by helping them explore career opportunities, choose a major, plan the order of their course work and register for classes. In addition, Linda advises transfer students to ensure proper course transfer credit from other institutions, both international and domestic. Linda has been an integral member of the College of Business Administration since its beginning as the School of Business. Her knowledge of University/College procedures and regulations allows her to “get things done” for students.
Professional Accomplishments
Linda has been instrumental in developing the policies and procedures that ensure that UNI business students have access to the advising resources they need and can progress in a timely manner toward their graduation. Her accomplishments in this regard are many and include:
Establishing and organizing the College of Business Administration Student Advising Office;
Developing current priority registration policies and procedures for the College of Business Administration;
Assisting in the development of the procedures used for the computerized registration system now used campus-wide
Assisting with development of the UNI Grad Pact - Four-Year graduation plan
Serving on an oversight committee to initiate the development of UNI’s computerized Plan of Study
Developing the College of Business Administration’s transfer orientation and advising program
Served on the committee to develop the Advising Mission, Vision and Goals for the University
Member of the Provost's Advising Council
