Farzad Moussavi is the dean of UNIBusiness, the College of Business Administration at the University of Northern Iowa, USA. UNIBusiness is recognized by Princeton Review as one of the best business schools of the world and maintains accreditation from AACSB International, a status achieved by only the top 5% of business schools in the world. The College has established a strong international presence with an entire MBA program in Hong Kong and expanded strategic alliances with business schools in France, Germany, Russia, Austria and China.
Prior to his current appointment, Dean Moussavi served as the Head of the Management Department and Associate Dean.

As the Associate Dean, Leslie has a number of different responsibilities. She provides direction and leadership with regard to maintaining the College's AACSB accreditation. She is the MBA Program Director for the campus program as well as the program operating in Hong Kong. She serves as supervisor or manager for several of the functional areas of the College including student advising services, minority recruiting and retention, information technology support services, and international programs promotion and development. She is the Dean's designee for issues associated with curriculum, students, program review, and compliance and equity management. She is a member of the team coordinating the communications and promotion of the College, including team leader for development and expansion of the CBA website. She currently serves as an institutional representative for the Iowa Women in Higher Education, a member of the Department of International Programs advisory board, and institutional representative on the Regent's International Study Committee.

Nancy Hoffman is the MBA Program Assistant. She provides support to pre-MBA and MBA students with respect to managing the often confusing array of paperwork required of graduate students. She provides support for management of the MBA program, assists with marketing and promotion, and supports the operations of the MBA program in Hong Kong. In addition to her MBA Program Assistant responsibilities, she assists the associate dean in the College’s efforts to bring international visiting scholars to the UNI campus, maintain AACSB accreditation, and generally meet the wide ranging responsibilities of the Dean’s Office.
Her contribution to the college goes well beyond competently managing her responsibilities. She provides a warm, welcoming, and personal academic home to UNI students. Her own international experience as a high school student in Denmark allows her to fully appreciate the difficulties associated with moving into a new culture. She responds by providing support, encouragement, and resources to our visiting scholars and international MBA students. Her efforts characterize the Students First commitment of our UNI staff.

As the Director of Development, Derek’s primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison for University Advancement (i.e. alumni relations, communication and fundraising) between the CBA and UNI Foundation. He is in charge of planning and implementing various fundraising programs to support CBA initiatives and priorities as identified by administration and faculty. The success of these programs is greatly enhanced by the relationships he builds through special events and individual contacts with alumni, friends and businesses across the United States. Whether it is helping donors to create new scholarships, updating alumni and friends on new programs or discussing possible job opportunities for our graduates, Derek works to seek support and stay connected with our external constituents.

Elena provides program assistant support to the Associate Dean in the management of the MBA program and in expanding the College's international partnerships. For the MBA program, she is responsible for collecting and reporting learning assurance data, advising MBA students, and developing marketing materials. For her international efforts, she is focused on expanding the College's relationships with its international partners in Russia and France including the Plekanov Russian Academy of Economics, ESC Rennes (France) School of Business and Institut Supérieur du Commerce in Paris.

Dawn Larsen manages the Dean's office, serves as the College's accountant, handles all personnel files, and processes all purchase requisitions, travel vouchers and personnel action forms.
Dawn became a member of the UNI faculty in September, 2009. Prior to this position, she served as the administrative assistant at the Community National Bank in Cedar Falls. She has also performed sales service representative, office coordinator, and executive secretary roles.
