Support for professional development in finance reaches a new milestone

U.S. Bank Fund for Financial Analysis Education

U.S. Bank has provided a major gift to support the financial analysis education program at UNI. Steve Brewer, regional president for U.S. Bank, said the endowment is designed to support UNI's financial analysis program and the activities of its students and faculty. "These activities will include an annual U.S. Bank Financial Analysis Seminar Series to be organized in consultation with employees of U.S. Bank," said Brewer. The seminar series assists UNI students in preparing for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Examinations.

Farzad Moussavi, the College of Business Administration Dean, said the College looks forward to developing a strong relationship with U.S. Bank that will serve not only the university and the bank, but the banking community in Iowa as well.

As an undergraduate at UNI, Chad Klatt was one of the students who gave up his Fridays, Saturdays, and Spring Break to study for the CFA Exam. Now, his financial analysis education is paying off for him.

"I am now at a position in my company that nobody else has ever been at such a young age…This is not only an accomplishment for me, but also for UNI, as the first question out of everyone’s mouth is, “Where did you go to school?”  In fact, my boss has now asked me to recruit the top students from UNI’s program, which we have begun to do."
