Gazette Communications

Gazette Communications, a multimedia company in Eastern Iowa, has seen great success with the training programs offered through the UNI Executive Development Center. In 2003, Gazette took part in the Accelerated Development Program for ten of their future leaders in the company. Gazette was so impressed with the program that just last year they decided to run another training program for 10 more of their future leaders that took place from January 2006 to the graduation in July 2007.

One of the program participants said, “Overall, I really enjoyed the classes from UNI’s Executive Development Center. I have learned a lot and have used it at work already and also outside of work. I am able to do many things that I couldn’t before this program.” Another participant commented, “I liked learning approaches to leadership that were different from my own. Learning from professionals who teach these techniques in a classroom was terrific because we’re often left to learn these things by osmosis from our peers.”

Gazette took advantage of the Center’s ability to adapt and customize their program to the company’s needs. Through this, Gazette has realized the importance of investing to build great leaders within their company by continuing to utilize the resources of the Center.
