Master of Business Administration
Why UNI MBA?
UNIs MBA program, designed with input from students, faculty, alumni, and business professionals, is built upon a foundation of academic excellence and is responsive to our students' needs. The result is a program providing the flexibility professionals demand while also providing the quality professionals deserve.
Flexibility That Professionals Demand
Customized Program
Rather than a rigid program requiring students to repeat background courses already completed or a program that reduces foundation courses to the point of lowering overall program quality, the UNI MBA program is customized. We evaluate each student's background to determine which foundation courses are needed and we develop a plan of study that reflects those unique needs. No more than eight foundation courses are required, with most students needed four or fewer.
Reasonable Completion Time
The UNI MBA program was designed to serve both full-time and part-time students. The curriculum and our modular scheduling protocol specifically designed to allow qualified, full-time students to complete the MBA program in a single year. The result is substantial savings in tuition and other college costs, while avoiding the lost income associated with spending a second year in school. Part-time students can also take advantage of our curriculum and scheduling protocol to complete the program in a two- to four-year period, depending upon available time. Worried about a professional transfer? We can help plan your MBA program to accommodate your career path.
Convenient Course Schedule
Part-time students can meet job demands while attending conveniently-timed classes. All MBA courses are offered in the evening from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday meetings. Class schedules are provided two to three months in advance, allowing time to coordinate work and academic demands.
QUALITY That Professionals Deserve
National Reputation
In addition to a University with a national reputation for quality education, our small but selective MBA program as earned a Best Business
School recognition from The Princeton Review. At the MBA level,
quality is achieved through small classes, full-time faculty with research
and consulting experience who are focused on teaching, rigorous and applied
courses, and a student body eager to learn. That quality is evident in the
strong ratings the College earned in The Princeton Review recognition.
AACSB Accreditation
Do you prefer service providers certified at the highest levels in their fields? Are you cautious when evaluating non-certified or non-ISO 9000 compliant suppliers? Why should your MBA be different? AACSB International is the "gold standard" of business accreditation. Fewer than a third of business schools achieve AACSB accreditation and the UNI College of Business Administration is in that select group. When choosing an MBA program, AACSB accreditation is a reliable, objective measure of quality assurance.
High Standards
In the UNI MBA program, you will be surrounded by a diverse mix of students who have met our high admission standards. The MBA faculty, for its part, sets high performance standards. The result is a stimulating and challenging classroom environment where student learn from faculty and peers, a mix critical to learning at the highest levels.
Focus On Business Application
Shouldnt your new knowledge be useful? An MBA education means more than just learning the latest theories? Students must be able to transfer those theories to real-world situations. We utilize cases, computer simulations, and other techniques to ensure students can make that transition from theory to practice. The entire program concludes with a live, client-based, capstone consulting experience. We concentrate on helping students develop the mix of skills necessary to meet the demands of a constantly changing, highly competitive, global business world.
