Most students have many responsibilities to juggle. With those duties in mind, the College of Business Administration (CBA) and UNI provide on-campus jobs and scholarships. To help balance school and work, consider applying for scholarships, work study and student employment that can support your academic goals.
Student Employment
Gain the work experience you need for your career without leaving campus. Studies show that students who work on campus 10-20 hours per week have higher GPAs than students who work off campus for the same number of hours. Employment opportunities within the CBA as well as the UNI campus community offer a variety of work experiences that will fit your interests. Talk to your advisor, go to your department office or go to the UNI Student Employment Office in 255 Gilchrist Hall.
Work Study
If you have received a Work Study award, positions are available in the CBA helping you stay close to where your classes are offered and giving you more flexibility for your work schedule. Discover your options in the CBA by talking to Velda Timmerman in CBB 321. Opportunities outside of the CBA are available at the UNI Student Employment Office in 255 Gilchrist Hall.
Scholarships
Reduce your college expenses and loans by applying for CBA scholarships. Incoming freshmen, undergraduate and graduate students, are all eligible for CBA scholarships. For undergraduates, the University's Common Scholarship Form must be completed to be considered for all scholarships available through the University and the CBA. High school seniors seeking CBA Freshmen Scholar Awards are encouraged to apply during the fall of their senior year.
