THE ECONOMICS CLUB
The Economics Club is a social club which was organized to meet the following
goals:

Create an interest in economics and related issues.

Bring students together with other students and faculty.

Attract speakers to offer new insights in economics to our students.

Who can join the Economics Club?

The Economics Club has members with various majors. Majors currently represented are:
- Economics
- Finance
- Management
- Accounting
- Marketing
- Political Science
Anyone interested in economics is encouraged
to join!

What are the activities of the Economics Club?

The Economics Club sponsors various activities throughout the year. We have a picnic and a bowling night where members get a chance to interact with the professors in the Economics Department. We have speakers on careers in economics and other issues.
The biggest event for the Economics Club is the annual trip to Chicago. During the trip we visit the Chicago Stock Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade, and the Federal Reserve Bank. In addition to a tour of the facility, we receive special presentations from senior economists.

Should I join the Economics Club?

Absolutely! The Economics Club provides academic and social activities throughout the year. You get an opportunity to make friends with students with similar interests, as well as get to know your professors.

When are meetings held?

The Economics Club meets to plan events such as the picnic or bowling night or to listen to guest speakers. Members are notified of upcoming meetings by e-mail.
